We are happy to accept new residents providing the person does not have a positive COVID-19 test or displaying COVID-19 symptoms. When accepting a new resident we have put some additional security arrangements into place to ensure we are protecting our current residents and staff as well as the new resident.
We will carry out telephone assessments with the potential resident, family or current carers. This can be on the same day as the referral if needed, and an admission date arranged as soon as practical and according to the urgency and need of the new resident.
Prior to admission or on the day we will aim to do a lateral flow test and also a PCR test. Provided resident tests negative they do not need to self isolate.
