Accommodations

The Manor Residential Home is a long-term residential home for the placement of older people aged 65 onwards. It does not provide nursing or dementia care. The home is set in large gardens edged by trees a short walk from Arnold Town Centre which is located four miles North of Nottingham.
The Home has twenty-five single rooms (twenty on the ground floor). Access to the upper floor is via the stairs or stair lift. Eighteen rooms have a nominal floor area of ten square meters and each has it's own washbasin. Seven rooms have a nominal floor area of twelve square meters or greater and are en-suite. All rooms are tastefully furnished each with its own cable television and telephone. There is a lounge with its own conservatory and a dining room. There are three bathrooms, two with bath lift facilities. There are six toilets in addition to the en-suite rooms. All laundry is done in-house. There is also a spacious patio area which is used in the Summer months. The Home has a high standard of decoration and fittings which are regularly maintained and updated. All bedrooms and common areas have a nurse-call system and fire alarm / detection systems. The fire detection system is linked directly to the local fire station and in the case of an emergency the attendance of the fire brigade is automatically requested without any human intervention.
Daily papers are delivered for use within the home. A resident can request a daily paper or magazine of their choice at their own financial responsibility.

Regular visits are made by the local general practitioner, community services, chiropodist, hairdresser and members of the clergy.

Meals
Our home prides itself on its excellent food. All our meals are prepared from scratch on our premises by our cooks. They are constantly updating our menus creating wonderful nutritious dishes for our residents using fresh, local produce.
At each meal, residents are given a choice as to the preferred meal and we are happy to accommodate special requests and restricted diets.

Meals on trays service can also be arranged.
