Review : My father has been a resident there for
around 3 years after suffering a stroke.
I believe he was the first 'stroke' recovery resident they had
had, so they were a little hesitant to accept but after a little
thought they accepted.
My dad was unfortunately left with aphasia and dyspraxia after
his stroke so cannot communicate effectively but after some
useful tips, advice and instructions from ourselves the staff
soon became 'pros' at understanding what he wants or might need.
They have been great at looking after him, recognising when he
may be feeling unwell (as he cannot say the correct words to tell
anyone) and spending that little extra time with him when he's
making decisions. He's well looked after, seems to really like it
in there and we do have a great amount of trust in the staff
there.
